Soapbox Race
Time: 3pm
Duration: 1 hour
DIY and sliding enthusiasts, grab your tools! Build your soapbox and join the race! Team up with a friend, a sibling, a child, or a colleague and build the fastest, most original soapbox together!
Cash prizes will be awarded to the following categories:

Speed Class: focused on the fastest time down the track!

Show & Shine: judged on creativity, aesthetics, and craftsmanship.

Comedy Class: goofy, fun designs that prioritize entertainment over speed.

Relay: xcski, fatbike, shooting, kicksled
Time: 2:00 pm
Duration: 1 hour
Present by ICycle Sports & Cycling Association of Yukon
Open to everyone, you don't have to be an expert to have fun. Make a team with your friends, child, siblings, or whoever you want, and participate in this fun relay!

Adventure Smart
Time: 11:30am
Duration: 1 hour
Meet in the Curling Rink Lounge
Enjoying outdoor activities is a big part of our Yukon lifestyle. Planning your next trip is as important as being out there, if not more. During this one-hour presentation, you will learn how to prepare for your next trip so you can be safe in the wilderness. Learn how to make informed decisions, mitigate risk and reduce search and rescue incidents as an Outdoor Recreationalist.

Curling
Time: 11am or 12pm
Duration: 1 hour
Meet in the Curling Rink
Learn the basics of curling with an experienced curler.
Must have clean indoor shoes; all other equipment is provided!
Dress warmly, as the temperature in the rink area is 3 degrees Celsius.
Helmets (bikes, downhill ski) required for kids (up to 15 years old)

Wildlife Viewing Walk
Time: 1:30pm
Duration: 2 hours
Meet in the Whitehorse Nordic Centre
Join Wildlife Viewing Specialist on a winter walk through the woods to look for animal tracks. Learn to identify prints and look for other signs that wildlife has been in the area.
Dress for the weather and wear winter boots and/or gaitors as we may be walking through deep snow following game trails.

Snowshoeing Walk - 55+
Time: 1:00pm

Meet in the Ski Stadium
ElderActive will take you on a Snowshoe walk on the Mt McIntyre trails. For ages 55+.

Kicksledding
Why walk when you can kicksled? The Yukon is alive with places for you to kicksled all winter long! Kicksled Revolution will be present to let you try out this elegant recreation and active transportation tool of pure joy that many Yukonners have adopted.
Biathlon
Leaded by Biathlon coaches and Athletes from Biathlon Yukon.
Biathlon is an Olympic winter sport, which combines competitive, free-technique cross-country skiing and small-bore rifle marksmanship. Learn to shoot at a very small target with a LASER RIFLES! You'll have to ski/walk/run four small loops with three standing shooting sessions.
Walk up and sign in for an introductory session of this great winter sport!

Arctic Sports and Dene Games
Dene games are tests of physical and mental skill that were originally used by the Dene (northern Athabascan peoples) to prepare for the hunting and fishing seasons, and to provide entertainment.
Join Eric for fun and challenging games like the One and Two foot High Kick, Snow Snake, Caribou Chase or maybe the Inuit and greasy Stick Pull and the Pole Push!!

Orienteering
Strap on some snowshoes and set out on a self-serve course. Starts and ends in the Ski Stadium.​

Be there for the soap box race and cheer on the participants! We promise you lots of action!

Where is the Ski Stadium?​
Park on the left side of Canada Games Center parking lot and walk toward the 2 seacans.
From Mt McIntyre Recreation Centre, walk down the stairs to the CGC parking lot (follow the signs).
Note: the ski stadium is not dog-friendly.
